Urban wildflowers / Ely

Together with volunteer group ‘On the Verge Ely’ I created a number of wildflower patches on underutilised spaces in towns and villages in the Cambridgeshire area. The UK has lost a staggering 97% of its meadows since the Second World War. New meadows and wildflower areas are not only essential to the survival of bees and other invertebrates but are part of a larger conversation about the use of public space (which is very often sadly lacking in biodiversity).

We are always delighted to talk to clients about meadow creation or conversion in their private gardens. We can advise on a range of approaches to meadow creation, depending on soil type, aspect, preferred timescale, and budget.
